HOURS OF OPERATION

We are open 7 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Monday through Friday.

WEATHERIZATION

We offer a variety of cost effective and efficient energy conservation services, which provide lasting benefits to low income families. Energy conservation measures are available to income eligible homeowners and renters. Applications are accepted year-round, and priority is given to senior citizens, people with disabilities, and families with small children.

Service areas include Adams, Boise, Canyon, Gem, Payette, Valley, and Washington counties. Licensed in Idaho (#RCE-30972).


JOB OPENINGS

Metro Community Services is seeking applicants for a Weatherization Technician position. This role is responsible for performing a variety of activities to weatherize a home to help make the structure more energy efficient. The starting salary is $16/hour. Weatherization Technician Job Description

REQUESTS FOR PROPOSAL (RFP)

Metro Community Services is accepting requests for proposal (RFP) for the Weatherization Assistance Program (WAP). We are in search of licensed and insured contractors from the following fields:

  • Insulation

  • Windows and doors

  • Foam applicators

  • Heating, ventilation, and air conditioning (HVAC)

  • Plumbing

  • Electrical

All contractors and M/WBE and labor surplus area firms are encouraged to apply. Please contact Rito Reynoso, housing director, at (208) 459-0065 to request an application and the RFP general instructions.

ENERGY ASSISTANCE PROGRAM APPLICATIONS

Utility Assistance: The Low-Income Home Energy Assistance Program (LIHEAP) helps families pay utility costs for heating their home.

Weatherization: The Weatherization Assistance Program (WAP) helps families reduce heating and cooling costs and improves the safety of their homes.

Metro Contractor Services is a full service energy performance contractor and is a for-profit component under the guidance of Metro Community Services. We contract with Idaho Power Solutions to provide energy efficient measures to eligible customers who may have higher incomes than those who qualify under the Weatherization Program.

Although we specialize in energy conservation measures, our staff are experts in many areas of construction, remodeling, roofing, sprinkler systems, and insulation.

Metro Contractor Services is licensed in Idaho (#RCE-30748) and Oregon (License #196207; Registry #702388-95).
